Will there be a London Marathon virtual?
The 2021 London Marathon will again include a virtual event for participants all over the world. Organizers introduced the first virtual event in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
How do you run a virtual marathon?
Runners who sign up for a virtual race register online and simply choose their own starting line, whether it’s a treadmill or a neighborhood street. They run the race distance, upload their finishing time and a few days later are mailed a medal.
Can I still enter the London Marathon 2020?
You can enter the ballot as UK or overseas runners. (International runners also see below). The ballot usually opens straight after the marathon. So for 2020 entry, the ballot was open from Monday 29 April until 17:00 on Friday 3 May.
